LakeHub Launches Incubation Program



LakeHub with support from the Simens foundation has launched the LakeHub Incubator, the first incubator in Western Kenya for idea-stage startups in the circular and sharing economy.  
The application to be part of the incubation program is currently opened. You can find more information here, as well as the link to apply. This will be a 6 months incubation program that will  include training on both technical skills and soft skills for anyone with a startup idea, the topics that will be covered are;
  • Understanding the need and Users
  • Customer need validation
  • To go market and idea Validation
  • Idea refining
  • Prototype building and  Testing
  • Customer Acquisition
  • Business Accounting and Bookkeeping
  • Building the right Teams
  • Legal
  • Investor readiness
The program is keen on supporting transformative products in the circular and sharing economy to find product-market fit, define a target market and getting their first validation for their startup idea. We do this through mentorship, training, and funding to support Lake Basin based startups and entrepreneurs. 
Three most promising entrepreneurs will be selected per cohort and supported with a maximum seed fund of Euro 5,000 depending on their needs to develop a minimum viable product and go to market.
Applications are now live, and the deadline to apply is Thursday, February 20th, 2020 at 23:50 EAT. We are reviewing applicants on a rolling basis, so we encourage interested entrepreneur support organizations to apply early.
